Travel Safety

In these unusual times it is important to keep an eye on travel safety advisories. Your first port of call should be “Information for travellers” issued by your own government. You can also look at the WHO website for information on pandemic and other outbreaks that may affect your journey.

For a short stay holiday (2 weeks or less) keep an eye out for information before you leave home. For longer trips like ours (we are away from home for 364 days) it is critical to stay a couple of steps ahead in your planning, particularly if you are moving through a country or region to get to your next destination.

PLAN “B”

Having a Plan B is good, but nowdays you also need a Plan C! And for us, we have an overarching rule – Is it safe for our kids? We are not afraid to stay put, turn around, or just pack up and go home.
