Tararua Ranges
A long-planned mission to do the Mt Holdsworth – Jumbo Circuit started with a glorious day 1. But the gale force winds on day 2 had other plans for us – a short walk to the ridge without packs thrilling enough without the need to attempt the 4 hour exposed walk to the next hut…and so it was a day of hut games, eating and getting up to mischief instead! Day 3 was cloudy and drizzly – perfect for seeing the Tararua goblin forest at its finest. Cool kids, great friends, and an awesome adventure!
