Andy has been a Christian for well over 40 years after being brought up in the church by his parents who have been leaders for many years. He met Tamsyn when he was 18 years old at his church and they have been married now for over 27 years with two grown up daughters.
Andy has served extensively in the church in leadership roles, from children’s church leader, musician and to running a redevelopment group for the church. Within the community he was a bible in school teacher before becoming a toy shop owner for a number of years.
After completing his Mercedes Benz apprenticeship, he became the Warranty Manager for Mercedes Benz (UK) Ltd until immigration to New Zealand.
Being hyperactive, Andy always has multiple projects on the go from building cars and motorbikes to creating all sorts of metal work art. As an avid bee keeper, Andy has 3 successful bee hives which are more for the fun of looking after an incredibly amazing piece of nature as opposed to just for the honey.
Andy runs multiple marathons each year for various charities and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in money and food for the UN / World Vision Food Program as well as MacMillan Cancer support in the UK, running marathons so far on 4 continents and five different countries, New Zealand, Australia, Cambodia, USA and England.
